California Lambda prides itself in our sisterhood!

Though all of our sisters come from different backgrounds, we all have one thing in common: our appreciation for Pi Beta Phi. The bonds of wine and silver blue hold us together as we encourage each other to be the best that we can be. California Lambda strives to create and maintain lasting friendships through our shared experiences and values. No matter our diverse interest, our members unite and bond through our values and spending much of their time studying, relaxing, and giving back to the community together. We offer a range of sisterhood events each quarter. Sisterhoods create great opportunities to develop friendships and strengthen existing relationships while enjoying fun activities.

One of the key parts of our sisterhood is the Big/Little Mentorship.

The Big/Little relationship is important to Pi Phi's sisterhood because we recognize how special it is to have a mentor who can guide you through your college experience and time within Pi Phi. Arleth, a Spring 22 graduate, and Daniela an upcoming Spring 23 graduate, are one of our beautiful Big/Little Duos!

"Being able to have a strong support system while I was away in college was very important to me. Being a part of this sisterhood brought me many amazing friendships that I will cherish forever. Getting my big sister through Pi Phi was something that I didn't think was going to have such a great impact on my life, but I soon realized how wrong I was. Arleth greatly impact my personal and intellectual growth in ways I would not have been able to do alone without her advice and wisdom. She kept me grounded throughout my college years and continue to push me to be both a better person and intellectual individual even after she graduated. She became my safe space, but still made sure I never got too comfortable. If I could describe my relationship with Arleth in one world it would without a doubt be "sincere". She always pushes me out of my comfort zone and tells me what I need to hear due to her sincerity and genuineness. My relationship with my big is one I never thought I needed and now it's one I'll never be able to live without. " -Daniela Perez, Fall '20
